Article #5 - Finding Solitude in Algonquin Provincial Park

Finding Solitude in Algonquin Provincial Park
Laurie March

Rating: *****

This article talks about the authors paddling journey in to Algonquin Park. She says that when she told people he was going paddling in algonquin park, they were skeptical because of the crowds. The author says that if you are willing to take a long portage, you will find solitude. she took one long portage, about 2285m, and when she got to the end she was on a lake all alone with only her group and no one else to be seen for the next 3 days.

I like this article because it teaches us that not a lot of people are willing to work hard to find something, so they are skeptical because they don't find it. If I were to go on a trip in trip in to Algonquin Park, I would want to go here since it is nice and quiet. I would recommend this article to anyone who wants to take a trip to Algonquin Park in the future.
