This article is about how to keep safe when on marine craft in busy waters. It is important to be able to interact with large ships that can be downright scary. There are 38 rules covering nearly every situation on the water. They help ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone on the water. The following rules are the most important to consider. First, responsibility is very important when in control of a water craft. Also, all mariners and paddlers must be responsible to ensure risk of collision and action to avoid collision. As well, be careful in narrow waterways.  Finally, always be aware of colours and shapes on other vessels. If you understand the signs there should be no confusion. This article helps people understand the rules of the road when it comes to waterway, and helps teach people how to have a safe and fun time on the water.
