Hell in high water

This article talks about Jorma Paloniemi and Mike Petzoid kayaking in Dog river when they hit big water fall. They had to paddle to the near by eddie, but Jorma hit the eddie line and fillped. He tried to rool but could so he got out of his boat, he go to shore but his kayake was long gone. It was foggy and raining and there was no one else for kilometers. Mike had to paddle 18 kilometers to lake supirior and he arranged to be picked up by power boat. This article has made me relize that kayaking isn't for me, but im sure one day ill try it, just not on Dog river.
