You need to keep hydrated in order for your body to work properly. If you become dehydrated and are losing fluid through breathing and sweating, you are causing your performance level to drop, possibly dropping by 30%. Thirst is the first sign of dehydration, so any exercise you are doing, make sure to regularly sip water to be sure your body gets its proper nutrients and you will not have to deal with dehydration, which can cause major issues with your body.
This article is a good read for everyone, lots of people are not aware of the first signs of dehydration and are not aware of how important it is to keep hydrated
