TED Talk: 'The Other Inconvenient Truth,' Jonathan Foley

Rating- ****

“How do we feed the world without destroying it?” This is the question that Mr. Foley discusses in this TED Talk. He talks about the dilemma with agriculture; that we need it more and more as the years go by (especially with our population increasing as quickly as it is), but that it is also destroying our planet. He says that the biggest burden to the planet is our agriculture and use of water. To solve this problem, he says that we need to “reduce the controversy, increase the collaboration,” and explains how we need to use our crops to feed everyone but reduce damage to the planet at the same time.
I really enjoyed this presentation because it made me realize how much we effect the planet. It made me realize that we really need to do something now so that we can continue living in the future. I found this presentation very informative, and I would recommend everyone to watch it so that we can all get an idea of what we're doing to our planet.
