Tandem Technique

Tandem Technique
This article does a very good job of explaining the cons of too much conversation on the river. The author begins by comparing it to the laws against talking on a cell phone while driving, and says that the same distraction can come from too much unneeded conversation between the now person and the stern person. He explains that although it's good to know the intentions of your partner while on the river, it's better to plan ahead, and use less words during the run so you are able to concentrate better on your strokes and techniques. I think this is a very good article and would give it 4 stars. This is one thing that I found was difficult to do while paddling at Palmer Rapids and I think is a valuable skill to learn.
