TED Talk : Richard Pyle Drives the reefs Twilight Zone

TED Talk : Richard Pyle Drives the reefs Twilight Zone

Rating:*****

In this Ted Talk, Richard Pyle describes his journey of finding new species of fish. He found a way to dive to the depths of 300 to 500 feet which is astonishing. Diving to this depth had never been done before by humans, only by submarine.

Richard Pyle and his crew found up to 7 new species of fish per hour down in the depths of the ocean, off the coast of Papua New Guinea. He also talked about how his new machinery worked and how a normal oxygen tank worked and how diving effects our blood and our bodies.

This Ted Talk was very interesting because I like fish and had them as pets. Some of the fish I had were related to the species found over the years of the deep dives to reefs off the coast of Papua New Guinea. It was also interesting to see the journey Richard Pyle and his crew took to the depths of the ocean. It was something I had never seen before and it was exciting to travel with the crew.
