The moose population in Newfoundland's Gros Morne National Park in beginning to get out of hand.

This article is about the the amount of moose in the national park and how the over population is effecting the vegetation. Since there are no natural predators for the moose, the park has given 1000 hunting licenses -which 942 were subscribed- to help control the population. Due to the moose and there hunger for seedling trees they have cleared 800 square kilometers of boreal forest and turned it into grass land.

I found this particular article interesting and informative. I think it is a good idea to control the population before the moose have the opportunity to destroy more ecosystems and ruin the national park.
