Quebec City: Host of the First Official ITU Winter Triathlon

Rating: ***

This article was so cool to read because it was unlike anything I've ever read before. I had know clue that this was something that was being talked about and that would ever be done. I just can't imagine how challenging this must be. Once you first read the title you don't want to stop until you are finished because it is so unique.

This article is about  a winter triathlon. This means running a long distance in the the winter with all the snow and ice that is on the ground. In the picture people are running with snow shoes on and I think that us just unbelievable. In March 8th and 9th 2014, there will be a triathlon which includes; snowshoeing (5K), speed skating (12K), and skiing (8K), for a total of 25K in the cold. There is expected to be 300 to 500 participants in this triathlon, and they will only have 90 minutes to complete the race. Also there is over 15 country's who have shown interest in this race, which is great  that the word is getting around.

I would recommend this article to whomever enjoys winter sports and a challenge like none other.
