Across The Ocean in a Paddle Boat

By: Roz Savage
rate: ****

This is a crazy story of why a women rowed across the Atlantic and the Pacific ocean by herself.

Roz Savage is a British women who always thought she wasn't able to be an adventurer because of the way she was built and because she was a women. In her mid-30s she changed her mind. she decided that she was put on this world for a reason and working in an office wasn't it. So, in 2005 (during the time of hurricane Katrina) she went on a journey of rowing across the Atlantic ocean. though she had faced many struggles like all of her paddles breaking, tendinitis on her shoulders, and salt water sores, but 103 days later she was in Antigua. She says she has never been so happy in her life. Her next plan was to travel across the pacific in three stages. From San Francisco, to Hawaii, from Hawaii, to Tarawa, and then from Tarawa to Australia. and she was determined.

From this story I have learnt that no matter who you are or what you think, you can do the impossible. This women rowed by herself, without a chase boat or anyone around across the Atlantic ocean. She has taught me to exit my comfort zone and do something I would've never done on my own. Anyone can accomplish anything as long as you put your mind to it.
