In this blog post, Ellen Gray talks about some tips and tricks that she tested from a list she saw on Facebook called "41 camping hacks that are borderline genius". Although some of the tips actually work, Gray noted that most of them were totally bogus and not worth the time and energy. One of the tips that Gray found successful was to make crescent rolls over the fire. Not only is the trick easy, but you can add Nutella and it becomes a dessert, or hot dogs and it becomes a quick lunch.
Its always nice to find a blog with a families' own experience testing pop culture "life hacks. Knowing what works and what doesn't certainly saves a lot of wasted time trying to figure it out for yourself.
