Rock-climbing in the great indoors- David Brook

Rating:***

I really enjoyed reading this article, it was very informative and gave me a great understanding about what its like to use a rock climbing gym. Although I have gone several times with this class, it is nice to get a more credible, interesting opinion.

In this article, the author talks about the safety, basic techniques and equipment in rock climbing gyms. most people find rock climbing is scary and dangerous but in this article the author re-assures the readers that it is no more dangerous than jogging or lifting weights. The author also informs the reader of some basic techniques to use if you are a first time rock-climber. He tells us about the different equipment to use while rock-climbing, such as the harness, rope, shoes and chalk.

While reading this article, it gave me a better understanding and gave me new techniques to use for the next time I go rock-climbing. I decided to read this article because it seemed very interesting and it was one of my favourite things to do in this course.
