Drinking Water for Hiking: Myths and Facts - Aidan Jones

Drinking Water for Hiking: Myths and Facts

By Ben Crowell

***** Excellent Article

A very educational article that disproves the stereotypical myths thought to be true about dehydration.

Many people I know, including myself, have had to change our plans for trips due to dehydration myths. This article will change everything you thought you knew about water. It was interesting, very educational and kept my attention the entire time. I would recommend this article to anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors or on trips and would be benefited greatly by this.

This article not only changed the way I plan my trips, but many of the people who I travel with. It can save so much time and effort with all of these little tips in mind. It really makes you think about the science behind dehydration and how all of these myths got started. While of course, the myths make certain you’re rather safe than sorry, it’s always nice to understand all of the numbers that go into something like trip safety. I now know how much water is necessary and how much is overkill among many other tips. A good read for sure.
