THE NUMBERS ARE IN By Tim Irvin

rating **

This is an article that is talking about the dangerously low grizzly bear population level in Alberta.

It states that the government has said that the bear population is still high enough to maintain itself. But in an updated report from this spring shows only about 691 bears are living in the wild of Alberta and only 359 are breeding adults. It also says that they are trying to increase the bear population by decreasing the number of human to bear contact.

I like this article because I beleive that it is quite important because it gains awareness on the declining number of animal species (especially grizzlies). I also enjoyed this article because it made me realize how much we are destroying the bear population and how we have to fix it and quickly.
