This article had lots of good information and tips for how to take toddlers into the wilderness including the how to pick the route, how to deal with diapers, a toy barrel, larger tents, how to deal with bugs and of course safety. It suggests that the most important thing is to make sure they are comfortable and then the fun will follow.
I would suggest this article to any outdoor lovers looking to have kids but don’t want to give up their canoe trips.
