TED Talk--Terry Moore: How to Tie Your Shoes

Rating: ****

In this short TED talk, Terry Moore demonstrates an error in an everyday life skill that most people have been making. He says that many are tying their shoes wrong. Although we have been taught how to do this simple task since childhood, there is a right way and a wrong way to tie shoes. The wrong way does not hold very well, whereas the right way is much stronger.

Moore uses an anecdote to effectively explain the subject and he brings a shoe to visually show the mistake that almost all of us have been making. He has subtle humor and the video is short and to the point. I would recommend this video because everybody has been tying shoes for a long time and the fact that they could have been doing it wrong this entire time seems very funny.
