This is less of an article and more of a goodbye to Dave Thomson.
This section in Explore (Canada’s Outdoor Magazine) is the story of Dave Thomson, an outdoorsman (not that he lived outside). Within the first couple of paragraphs we learn about Dave’s death and the irony of how he was temporarily paralysed from the waist down. We learn about Dave’s insistence on not spending unnecessary money and his love of whisky and what made Dave, Dave.
He died at the age of 54 and definitely lived his life to the fullest. I commend Dave for his love of the outdoors (and whisky) and say goodbye. I definitely felt attached to him reading this article even though I don’t know him personally. This was a nice read.
