Saying Goodbye To Victoria Jason- Phil Hossack

Saying goodbye to Victoria Jason

On May 20th, 2000 a well known kayaker, Victoria Jaon, 55, passed away from a brain tumor. This was the only battle she was unable to win throughout her life, as she was the only woman to kayak the Northwest Passage, completing this over four summers, from 1001-1994.
Victoria Jason had to leave her job with CN Rail after recovering from four strokes. She moved to Yellowknife, where she continued doing her favoring thing of life-paddling.
She was cremated according to her will, and was returned to the North she loved so much.

This article was quite touching, as Jason left behind her children, and also quite motivating that you can do what you love, even if you have suffered two strokes and had to retire from work.

I recommend this to anyone that is looking for a good, long read about motivational paddling!
