Canoe over Canoe Rescue- Doug Wipper
***good
I found this to be a very informative article that I recommend to anyone interested in canoeing. Especially with our big canoe trip coming up I would find this a very informative article.
Which discusses the inevitable of eventually flipping a canoe, and the hazards and difficulties associated with it, including either swimming or canoeing your swamped canoe back to shore. Before going on in detail, how to easily re-float a swamped canoe provided there is a second canoe present. Between the illustrations and detailed instructions, anyone would easily be able to re-float their canoe. This is especially important because canoes have been known to flip trying to rescue a flipped canoe. With this method that can be avoided while still effectively helping the flipped canoe, so I believe that this shows a valuable skill for any long canoe trip.
