Ted Talk: Cray Fowler, One seed at a time, protecting the future of food
Rating: **
This TED talk describes the world’s dwindling supply of crop diversity and the change of climate that is crushing the chances of rebounding from the road we are on. Crop diversity is becoming rarer because of temperature increases, crops cannot keep up with this heat increase. Although it will be awhile before this change affects counties like ours, it is already affecting lesser countries like India and Africa. Without diversity, agriculture will plummet sending not only singke countries but the world into a food crisis.
This article is recommended to anyone who is interested in the failing farming methods and climate change and what to do about it.
