White Water kayaking in Wales

This Article by the Guardian is about one man's experience learning to white water kayak

The article starts with the author doing his first ferry across a rapid and rolling over. After this he debates whether or not doing the course was a good idea. He tries again and this time it goes better but he is still wobbly. His instructor gets him to try a bigger more stable kayak to see if it helps. He flips again but gradually he gets better. The next day they go back at it and Kevin has a smaller kayak. They work again all day and he is very good by the end. After his second day he states that white water kayaking is fun and a great sport to try.

The only major problem I have with this article is that at the beginning the author speaks negatively of his experience. I find that if you are writing about a new activity you can say a few bad thing but this author said he wanted to give up right away. Other then that I think its an entertaining article about one's journey through learning how to white water kayak.

I would recommend this article to people who white water because it may bring back some nostalgic memories of your first time ferrying some rapids.
