This article is good for people who want to learn a different way to cook in the outdoors, using a dutch oven. It talks about the origins of the Dutch Oven, the uses of it, and how to properly clean it. The article begins by talking about the origins of a dutch oven.

The dutch oven originated in Holland in the early 1700's and has been used all around the world ever since. The dutch oven is a popular favorite because everything that is cooked in it tastes good, depending on what you put in it. The dutch oven has a flanged lid, flat bottom and three legs. The legs are to hold it above the campfire embers, and the lid is to keep the heat within. Right after you wash the Dutch oven, it’s time to season it with vegetable shortening. A iron cast oven is extremely porous so the vegetable oil fills the fine holes of the pot.

After reading this article, I now have some knowledge of Dutch ovens and how to properly take care of them.
