Trail running: And you thought traffic was a pain – Eric Martinat

Trail running: And you thought traffic was a pain – Eric Martinat

 Rating- **** Excellent

Are you tried of running the same road, bike path, running path, sidewalks?  Then you should go trail running.

Trail running is amazing it forces you to test your limits of strength and endurance levels. Going uphill and downhill, making quick turns, hopping obstacles, and moving side-to-side to traverse rocky sections all give a great workout to muscle groups that wouldn’t normally be used on the roads. This article also talks about route planning, equipment, fluid intake, dry clothes, optional equipment, leave a note. You need to consider these things before, during, or after going for a trail run. There are many different places in Ottawa to go for a trail run like Kanata lakes and Gatineau park offer trail runners which offers a variety for every ability level.

After reading this article it made me think that I should try trail running to see if it is as fun as it sounded throughout the article. I learned that you may have to look out for animals while you are trail running.
