Article #1
British Invasion - Steve Rogers

Rating****

British Invasion is a short, interesting work about the culture of whitewater in the U-K.

In this work the author Steve Rogers talks about the challenges of finding whitewater, he describes it as an art because in the U-K whitewater needs to be found not just used. During rainstorms small creeks are flooded and creates whitewater. He talks about the tight knit communities of whitewater enthusiasts and how they decide where to venture for there next thrilling adventure.

I liked this work because it shows how different types of white water are enjoyed, it showed different styles of whitewater that can be done from tidal to overfilled creeks. It gives a diversity of places to go in scotland and England anywhere from a gentle paddle to hardcore adventure. I also like this work because it teaches us about the lifestyle of a whitewater enthusiast.

I would recommend this article to anyone who wishes to try whitewater abroad, to those wishing for a change from the standard canadian fast water or to those seeking new kinds of whitewater thrills.
