The article told of a story about a man named Todd David Doughty, a fifty year old owner of the Thunderbird game farm in Chilton, who was convicted of a crime against illegally selling snow goose meat. Greishback, a judge, sentenced the man to five years of probation, a five thousand dollar fine, and revoked equipment. Mr. Doughty was never legally allowed to possess a firearm and has now been stopped of decimating the bird population any further.

In the article, the story of a man who participated in illegal actions made me think that he was not the only one doing it; there might have been other individuals who have committed the same sort of crime who may have not or will never be caught in the attack of a federal offense! It is horrible that all the bad people will not be put to justice with the actions they are taking to do terrible things, such as putting endangered species at risk. I learned that decimating the birds population or any population could disrupt the balance of nature and have serious effects tumbling back on the surrounding environment, habitats, and other species. Crimes happen everyday, and this was just one of the many interesting reads out there, so take your time to further look into our world’s decisions based on the rights and wrongs of legal and illegal taken actions!
